IMK engineering GmbH was founded in 1990 by 3 former senior employees of the development department of SDAG Wismut. The aim at the time of foundation was to be available to industry as a partner for new product developments.
As special as our customers - products made to measure. Projects with a one-off character such as welding or machining fixtures, test benches, prototypes and customer-specific special solutions.
We work on complex machine construction projects with fun and passion. We are proud of our high level of expertise in a very broad range of tasks, our modern and comfortable working environment and, above all, our collegial teamwork. With a lot of enthusiasm for technology, creativity, innovation and flexibility, we serve a broad customer portfolio with dedicated and well-trained employees. Our versatility is our potential. In no other company do you have the opportunity to work simultaneously on machining equipment, complex construction machinery, complete handling systems and roller coaster vehicles.
If you are as enthusiastic as we are, then apply now! No matter if you are an intern, a young professional or an experienced professional. We are also happy to supervise final theses for bachelor, master or technician.
We work on the latest technologies and create suitable solutions for our customers. We are creative in the implementation and adapt to the task.
We promote our employees according to their strengths. Everyone has the opportunity to develop within the company according to these.
We do not have a head of department or team leader. We work equally placed in small project teams.
Machbarkeitsstudie in Zusammenarbeit mit dem ICM e.V. zur Untersuchung der Energieversorgung von elektrischen Fahrzeugen über ein Oberleitungssystem.
With our two runners, Leni and Sarah, we were allowed to participate in the charity run of the Samuel-von-Pufendorf-Gymnasium Flöha on 11.07.2022 and through their athletic performance make a generous donation to the "Chemnitz hilft Ukraine e.V.".
Expansion of our competence in the field of electromobility - IMK Engineering has concluded a cooperation agreement with the Irish battery manufacturer "Xerotech" as an integration partner.

Compact diesel-hydraulically driven loader for use at low roadway heights. The operator's platform integrated in the load section of the machine provides the operator with optimum visibility during work. The field of application ranges from mining, tunneling and subway construction to driving caverns and supply shafts in dam construction.
Complete development of a particularly compact and powerful travel loader for heavy-duty use in hard rock.
The operator's platform integrated in the load section of the machine provides the operator with optimum visibility during work. The field of application ranges from mining, tunneling, and subway railroad construction to the excavation of caverns and supply shafts in dam construction. The steering of the crawler loader, the lifting and tipping function of the bucket is realized by means of electro-hydraulic joy sticks.
Mechanical design and strength verification of the welded assemblies according to the customer's specifications. Modular structure, which allows the derivation of other series with little adaptation effort. Removable bumper, which facilitates the installation motor and maintenance of the drive components.
Extra low-profile double-arm blast hole drill rig for underground use in a platinum mine in South Africa. Both a diesel-hydraulic and an electro-hydraulic drive are installed in the vehicle. The drill rig is operated by remote control.
Electro-hydraulically driven recovery vehicle for roadway protection. A powerful hydraulic hammer is mounted at the end of the swiveling telescopic boom. The hammer is used to remove loose boulders from the ridge. During the robbing process, the articulated machine is stabilized by means of a hydraulic support.
Extremely flat, battery-powered transport vehicle with clamping tool. Instead of the classic diesel-hydraulic drive, a Li-Ion battery and electric motor were provided. Concept study of a remote-controlled and extremely maneuverable crawler vehicle for transporting support elements in underground operations.
